On Wednesday, December 11th, VfB will welcome the still pointless Swiss from Bern for an important game in the race for the play-off places. Georgian referee Georgi Kruashvili will kick off the game in Stuttgart's MHP Arena at 9 p.m.

After VfB achieved their first win on the third matchday of the Champions League, two defeats in the premier class followed. First against Atalanta, then the debacle in Belgrade. Nevertheless, 24th place, which is entitled to take part in the play-offs for the round of 16, is still within reach. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß expects that six points from the remaining three games will be enough to avoid elimination. The party against Bern is therefore not yet a final.
With the Swiss, an opponent is also coming to Stuttgart who has so far experienced a European trip to forget. After five defeats, they are at the bottom of the table heading into matchday six. Things aren't going well for the Young Boys in the domestic Super League either, the previous season's champions are currently in 9th place.
