Shortly before the turn of the year and the usual company holidays associated with it, Microsoft is giving the Surface Laptop Studio 2 the December firmware update, which is intended to fix problems with the playback and recording of audio signals. In addition, some drivers for the hardware components have been updated.
December 2024 updates – The following update is available for Surface Laptop Studio 2 devices running Windows 10, version 22H2 or later.
Improvements and fixes:
- Prevents unexpected failures or interruptions of audio streams by improving the stability and reliability of the audio system to enable uninterrupted audio playback and recording.
As always, if you have not yet been informed about the Windows internal update function, you will have to be patient. The firmware update is gradually rolling out across all devices and should be available for download shortly. If you don't want to wait, you can also download the update manually from Microsoft's support website.
A small detail for statistics fans: The December firmware update is the fourth update in a row for the second generation of the Surface Laptop Studio; previously there were already the September, October, November and the December update in question. Microsoft is also doing a lot right when it comes to update support.
