Update 2.2 brings an unexpected quest to Night City. Players need to find all Joker graffiti in Cyberpunk 2077.
With update 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has introduced a new, hidden quest that will surprise you. Players receive a message from Jim B informing them of a group of jokers who want to take over the gambling in the city. This message triggers a collection quest that requires players to track down Joker graffiti in Night City.
Balatro Quest in Cyberpunk 2077: Reward and Creative Collaboration
The reward for completing the quest is a new Joker shirt and a Balatro card decoration for the player's apartment. This Quest was created through the collaboration of CD Projekt Red's Quest design team, particularly designer Maria Mazur and artist Olgierd Ciszak. It was inspired by a previous collaboration between the Cyberpunk 2077 and Balatro teams. Radek Grabowski, the Global PR Director at CD Projekt Red, said:
A while ago I asked CD Projekt Red's quest design team, “You liked the Cyberpunk maps in Balatro?” What if we had Balatro maps in Cyberpunk 2077?
Interestingly, the quest was not mentioned in the official patch notes and was added as a surprise for players. The community responded enthusiastically to the new content and the type of treasure hunt in which players have to find the graffiti based on photos. This type of gameplay challenge has already inspired many players to take to the streets of Night City. However, Update 2.2 for Cyberpunk does not fulfill some fan wishes.
Balatro quest in Cyberpunk 2077: Community reactions
The community is surprised and pleased by the new content that update 2.2 brings with it. The treasure hunt aspect, in which players have to find the graffiti based on photos, excited many. This type of quest leads to intensive exploration of the city and offers a welcome change from the otherwise more combat-heavy missions. The quest fits seamlessly into the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and shows that CD Projekt Red continues to find creative ways to exceed players' high expectations.
Gamers also have high expectations for the next part of Grand Theft Auto. Insider Jason Schreier recently gave new insights into the development of GTA 6.
