Salt Lake City (dpa) – The bodies of five family members were found in a house in the US state of Utah. All victims had gunshot wounds, West Valley City police said on Platform X. The family's only survivor is their 17-year-old son, who was found with a gunshot wound in the garage and is receiving medical treatment in the hospital, police said. The bodies were discovered on Tuesday evening (local time). The police are investigating the background.
According to police, the dead are the parents and three children aged 11, 9 and 2. The 38-year-old mother did not show up for work on Tuesday, whereupon a relative drove to the family home to check that everything was going well. The person found his 17-year-old son injured in the garage and called the police.
