Numerous trips take the pilots to the Alps, where Andreas Schulz managed the longest flight of all members in the best thermal conditions, the club's management wrote in a press release. In Greifenburg in East Tyrol he started on the Emberger Alm and stayed in the air for a total of 4 hours and 50 minutes. An incredible achievement with a distance of no less than 140 kilometers.
In order to win the Schnaidthalden XC Cup, the pilots have to submit five of their best cross-country flights. Flights that took off or landed at Schnaidthalde in Hausen im Killertal score a particularly high number of points:
In mid-May, Michael Landmann from Onstmettingen managed a 75 km long flight from the Schnaidthalde in Hausen iK to Löffingen in the Black Forest in three hours and 10 minutes, thus taking third place.
His clubmate Christian Pressa from Killer had less luck at the Schnaidthalde, but he managed a 96 kilometer long triangular flight from Greifenburg along the Drautal via the Mölltal in 4 hours and 41 minutes. This enabled him to achieve second place.

Michael Ritter from Burladingen delivered the masterpiece. On an evening flight from Schnaidthalde, he was able to land in Sankt Georgen in the Black Forest, 61.5 km away, after just 2 hours. With a takeoff from the 1,241 m high Kandel mountain near Freiburg, he was able to cross the entire Black Forest including the Neckar Valley with a lot of skill and experience and fly along the eaves of the Swabian Alb to the Farrenberg near Mössingen. From there he turned back and landed in Jungingen in Killertal after 5 hours and 30 minutes. This record flight of 103 km secured him first place in the overall ranking.
During the charity flight from September 7th to 8th, numerous tandem flights were once again completed. The proceeds of 1,000 euros were donated to the Kira von Preußen Foundation for socially disadvantaged children and young people, who can then spend their holidays at Hohenzollern Castle.
Like every year, a slope cleaning was carried out again. During this campaign, the starting point in the upper Killertal is mowed and cleared of bushes and trees. The paragliders also helped at the environmental action day of the municipality of Hausen im Killertal and built a wooden fence at the children's playground.
In November, Andrea Jung organized a Red Cross course. According to the announcement, numerous club members are taking the opportunity to refresh their first aid knowledge. In the DRK premises, practical exercises such as treating wounds, splinting, recovery, resuscitation and transporting an injured person could be carried out.
