FC Bayern can probably rely on their superstar Harry Kane again against RB Leipzig. Coach Vincent Kompany explains what is important to the Englishman now.
FC Bayern can probably rely on Harry Kane again in the last game of the year. The superstar is about to make a comeback against RB Leipzig in the duel on Friday (8.30 p.m.).
“The final training today is still important. “But if everything goes right, hopefully he will play a role tomorrow,” said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany on Thursday. But he doesn't want to reveal yet whether the Englishman will play from the start.
Kane recently suffered from a torn muscle fiber and missed four games. In the past few days he had resumed training with the team.
Stanisic's comeback at FC Bayern is getting closer and closer
In addition to Kane, Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies have also returned to the team. According to Kompany, the long-term injured Josip Stanisic “may not yet be an option” for Friday’s game.
Stanisic suffered a torn lateral ligament at the start of the season. He is now training with the team again.
