MIAMI — A shooting investigation is underway after a man showed up at the Miami Gardens Police Department with gunshot wounds on Saturday.

CBS News Miami had a team at the police station where yellow tape and police vehicles lined the street in front of the Aaron Campbell Jr. Public Safety Complex at 18611 NW 27th Ave. throughout the evening. blocked.

Sources told CBS News Miami that just before 4 p.m., a white Nissan Murano pulled up to the building and asked for help. He was carrying a man in his 30s who had been shot in the stomach and hand. According to Miami Gardens police, a call came in about a possible shooting and the man was driven to the police station by his friend.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue then airlifted him to the hospital, Miami Gardens police told CBS News Miami.

Investigators said the man was shot about two miles south in the area of ​​NW 154th St. 27th Ave. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation as police search for a possible suspect. Nobody is currently in custody.
