Taylor Lorenz Vox: Was Taylor Lorenz fired from Vox after she felt “joy” over Brian Thompson’s murder?

Taylor Lorenz said she felt joy after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was murdered.

Former Washington Post journalist Taylor Lorenz was fired from Vox Media after she couldn't contain her “joy” following the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Lorenz caused a stir on social media after she defended her joy, saying it reflected the sentiment of most Americans who suffer at the hands of such insurance companies.
Semafor reported that Vox decided not to renew its short-term contract with Lorenz, but the decision came before Lorenz's contributions to Brian Thompson.

Lorenz said her show is independent and there was no deal between her and Vox. “This is false and Vox does not own or distribute my YouTube podcast. I do! I literally beg any of these idiots to understand how the internet works. My show is not a Vox show, there is no 'deal' that has ended.” said Lorenz.

Piers Morgan asks Taylor Lorenz: “Should every CEO be killed?”

Taylor Lorenz appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensores on Monday and reiterated that she was sadly happy about Brian Thompson's murder.

“Joy!? Serious? Joy at the execution of a man?” asked Piers Morgan.
“Why are you so solemn about the execution of another human being?” Morgan asks the journalist. “Shouldn’t you be on the caring, sharing left side where you, you know, believe in the sanctity of life?”
“How can this make you happy?” This guy is a husband, a father, and he was shot in the middle of Manhattan. Why does this make you happy?”
Lorenz said Thompson murdered tens of thousands of Americans by denying insurance money.
Piers Morgan then asked her if all healthcare executives should be killed and if that would make Lorenz even more happy. Lorenz said she doesn't think vigilantism is the way to solve the problem and it's good that the murder highlighted America's health problems.
