Low mood among self-employed people | LinkedIn

“There is currently a lack of orders in the economy that can be awarded to the self-employed.” But there is also a shortage of skilled workers. There is enough to do to make this country more modern and innovative. Without Frei nothing works, without self-employed people there wouldn't be many offers and without many more founders we are increasingly losing touch. The country needs independence, it needs founders and it needs a stronger entrepreneurial culture. But the framework conditions have to be right for this to happen. In recent years, self-employment has been systematically made unattractive. A reform of the status determination procedure in the interests of self-employment is overdue – and not in sight. Self-employed people are the only group of workers who have not emerged from the crisis since the Corona period. And there is no political or social resonance. Not even in the election campaign. There is no party far and wide that makes an offer to the self-employed. How the state treats founders and self-employed people is also an indicator of how great the population's interest is in being free, innovative and independent. There is a lot that can be done politically so that self-employed people can help themselves. The first step would be to stop ignoring your situation. 🔭 The #self-employed are going into 2025 discouraged. In the current ifo survey, 40.1% of the self-employed expect worse business next year. Almost half expect nothing to change compared to the already difficult year 2024. For many self-employed people, there is no trend reversal in sight in 2025. Only one in ten of the self-employed and micro-enterprises surveyed expects their business situation to improve next year. There is currently a lack of orders in the economy that can be awarded to the self-employed. 💶 This pessimism affects the planned investments: a good third of those surveyed plan to invest less in 2025. It's just that everyone had previously planned to increase investments. The self-employed show a similarly low willingness to invest as the rest of the German economy. 📉 The business climate for the self-employed and small businesses has improved slightly. This is the first increase in the #Jimdo_ifo_business climate index after declines in recent months. In November it was -21.3 points, after -22.0 in October. Dissatisfaction with current business decreased somewhat, while expectations continued to fall. Report in Spiegel: ifo News: #ifoInstitute #Konjunktur #Jimdo
