Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 receives major update
Samsung is rolling out the extensive One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatches. The update based on Wear OS 5 not only brings three new watch faces, but also improved the health functions with AI and the operation of the watch with gesture control. The 1.8 GB update marks an important milestone for the now three-year-old smartwatch series.
The update comes with a variety of new features. The new “Energy Score” is particularly excitingwhich creates a personalized training recommendation based on sleep quality and activity data. This is supported by AI-supported health tips that take the user experience to a new level. The revised user interface is based on the design of current Galaxy smartphones and ensures easier operation across the individual devices.
Another big innovation is the improved one-handed operation. With the “double pinch” gesture, important actions such as answering calls or controlling music can be carried out much more conveniently. The new notification system provides greater control over which apps are allowed to display notifications. Users with a One UI 6.1.1 smartphone benefit from additional AI-based answer suggestions directly on their wrist (source: SamMobile).
