It's one piece Wrestling-History that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is reviving with Saturday Night's Main Event. The event was already a must-see for wrestling fans on US TV in the 1980s. The really big legends like Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Shawn Michaels, Bret “Hitman” Hart and many more took part in the cult show. Now comes the 2024 comeback.

With the new edition of Saturday Night's Main Event (broadcast in this country on the night of December 14th to December 15th, 2024), WWE is really letting it rip. After the Undisputed WWE Championship was not defended at Survivor Series, champion Cody Rhodes is now stepping into the ring for a title defense. His opponent is Kevin Owens. Another highlight is likely to be the final for the new Women's United States Championship title. Then the WWE women will finally get a midcard title.
The triple threat match for the Austrian Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship could be a classic, although the result is already anticipated. He defends this against Finn Bálor and Damian Priest. It remains to be seen whether the two mutual enemies will win each other's titles and Gunther will be the laughing third.

WWE has already announced how fans in Germany can watch Saturday Night's Main Event 2024. Unlike usual, the Premium Live Event (PLE) will not be shown on the WWE Network. Instead, ProSiebenSat.1 will take over the broadcast – both live and on free TV. The live broadcast starts on the night of Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th, from 2 a.m. on the streaming platform Joyn.
If you miss the live broadcast, you can watch the event on the evening of December 15th: from 10:05 p.m. the repeat will be shown on ProSieben MAXX on free TV, on “ran.de” and in the ran app.
