Gamer shoots parents after they ask him to look for a job

Bartow (USA) – A passionate gamer opened fire on his parents in Florida after they let him get a job.

As the Daily Mail reports, 23-year-old Joseph David Voigt apparently lost control when his father Marvin, 63, confronted him and advised him to get a job instead of spending all his time playing video games.

In a fit of rage, he shot his parents, leaving his father Marvin dead in the attack and his mother Susan in critical condition.

After the shooting, Joseph fled in the family car.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Marvin's lifeless body in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. Susan, 58, was found in the home with numerous injuries, including a serious head injury.

Life-saving measures were immediately initiated before she was taken to hospital.

During interrogation, Joseph confessed to killing his parents.

He was sent to prison and now had to stand trial for premeditated murder and attempted murder.

Joseph had previously been convicted of various crimes, including assault.

He was only arrested in October when he shot a gun 15 times into the ground in a residential area out of “boredom.”
