Harris County shooting: Man allegedly kills homeowner after being thrown out of home

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting on Pebble Springs Drive.

A man who was recently kicked out of a Harris County home returned in the middle of the night and shot the homeowner during an argument, the sheriff says.

The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 5700 block of Pebble Springs Drive.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office initially responded to a report of a shooting and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead.

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators then responded to the scene.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, several people, including small children, appear to be living in the home. A man was recently kicked out but returned at night and argued with the homeowner, the sheriff says.

The man then allegedly shot the homeowner and fled the scene. Authorities have not released the identity of a homeowner or the suspected shooter.

The sheriff said several people were arrested at the scene.
