Dying Light 2: Winter Tales 2024 event brings festive spirit and new challenges

Techland is bringing Christmas spirit to the dark world of Dying Light 2 with the Winter Tales: Gifts from Above 2024 event. The event is available now and runs until January 2, 2025. During this time, players have the opportunity to take part in festive activities and earn exclusive rewards.

Festive rewards and dangerous challenges

One of the highlights of the event is collecting Christmas decorations, which can be exchanged for special items from the merchant Baka. These include coveted rewards such as the Killer Krampus Outfit, the legendary weapon Skoll and the Punisher. But the players also have to face new challenges. The boss Uncle Snow returns and brings his infected minions with him. A new zombie type called Ice Spitter has also been introduced, which uses long-range attacks to target the player.

As an additional gift, all players can pick up the Above the Law Bundle for free during the event. It contains the Peacekeeper outfit, two blueprints and a skin for the paraglider, which would otherwise only be available with the premium currency DL Points.

New updates are coming to the game

The event starts at the same time as the release of Update 1.20, which improves the game's prologue and fixes various bugs. In the last update 1.19, Techland brought something new to the game with a Halloween event. The Tower Raid has been transformed into a roguelike experience, with new bosses, characters and gameplay improvements.

But it's not just events that bring a breath of fresh air to the game. With Dying Light: The Beast, an independent game is in the starting blocks that tells the story of Kyle Crane. Buyers of the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2 should receive the game for free. The community hopes that there will be new information about Dying Light: The Beast at The Game Awards, which airs tonight.

With events like Winter Tales, Techland once again shows how important it is to them to maintain the Dying Light 2 community. Fans shouldn't miss out on this festive content, which ends on January 2, 2025.
