Army vs Navy 2024 Match Prediction, Selection, Spread, Football Match Odds, Where to Watch, TV Channel, Live Stream

It is one of the greatest rivalries in all of American sports and the only football game played every year where every player on the field is prepared to give their life for everyone watching at home and in the stands. The 125th edition of the Army vs. Navy Game is finally here as the Black Knights and Midshipmen prepare to once again battle on the field and bring the 2024 college football regular season to a close.

As college football continues to change these days, this annual meeting is a constant amidst the chaos. It's a game that has even adapted a bit, with both academies now members of the American Athletic Conference. However, please remember that this is not a conference game.

Regardless of conference affiliation, nothing is more important to any of these teams than winning this game every year. They might be 0-11, but a win here makes the season a success and vice versa. It's one of the finest spectacles in all of sports and you can catch all the action here on CBS on Saturday.

Army vs. Navy: What you need to know

The Commander-in-Chief's trophy is at stake: The Army, Navy and Air Force compete for the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy every year, but it is a rarity that the trophy is still up for grabs by the time this game is played. This year the time has come. Both teams defeated Air Force this season, meaning the winner of that game takes home the coveted prize. This is only the eighth time this has happened (the trophy was created in 1972) and the first since the 2017 season. Army won the trophy last year but still remains third on the all-time list (10). The Navy is in second place with 16, while the Air Force has 21. If Army wins, it will be the second trophy it has lifted this season after winning the AAC title last season in its first year of membership.

Army QB Bryson Daily had a remarkable season: Daily enters the game with a legitimate Heisman Trophy case, even if he wasn't selected as a finalist. Daily passed for 1,480 yards while throwing for 877 this season and he has 37 total touchdowns. His 29 rushing touchdowns are tied for the most in the country with Boise State running back and Heisman finalist Ashton Jeanty. Daily has been the driving force behind Army's incredible season and will look to cap it off with a win against Navy.

Navy has lost three of its last five games: Navy did not qualify for the AAC Championship Game, but the Midshipmen received just as much hype as Army in the first half of the season. They started the year with six straight wins, but then lost their annual showdown to Notre Dame 51-14. Then the rudder fell off the ship. Losses to Rice and Tulane soon followed, knocking the Mids out of conference competition. But even if Army won the AAC, we all know what trophy both teams really want. The Midshipmen will have a chance at redemption here.

Army vs Navy Prediction, Tips

You'll never catch me choosing anything other than the under in a game between service academies. Since the 2005 season, the team has posted an incredible 47-11-1 record in games played between them, and while the total has dropped significantly since the original release, we're still going for it. If you're scared and prefer to bet on the spread, I lean towards Army's side. Selection: Under 39.5
