Broadcast – The Zurich crime thriller: Borchert and the city in fear (2/2) on Thursday, December 12th, 2024

In the second part of the double episode, Christian Kohlund, the title character, uncovers a tragic chain of events that triggered the murders and puts his own life in danger. Director Roland Suso Richter and his cameraman Andrés Marder also find strong and memorable, sometimes mystical images in the second part of the story devised by Wolf Jakoby about the events on the day of a solar eclipse. David and Anne Bennent play a haunting pair of siblings whose story continues to be unraveled.

Six dead – and each time a cardboard template with the sun and moon at the crime scene: Does the “Zurich Killer” kill according to a mysterious pattern – or is there a connection between the victims? While Captain Furrer (Pierre Kiwitt) hopes to have found the killer in Timo Brock (Robin Sondermann), Dominique (Ina Paule Klink) falls under a delivery truck in front of Borchert (Christian Kohlund).

What looks like a tragic accident turns out to be an assassination attempt. When Borchert also finds himself in the line of fire shortly afterwards, it is clear to him that he is on the right track with his research and that Brock cannot be the perpetrator. A tragic traffic accident increasingly becomes the focus of Borchert's investigation.

In this case, a family was wiped out except for the father Moritz Bührer (Matthias Weidenhöfer). The former freight forwarder Jürg Dolmas (David Bennent), who sits in a wheelchair and is cared for by his sister Andrea (Anne Bennent), also comes into Bochert's focus. But the “unlicensed lawyer” initially draws the wrong conclusions.
