What looks like a tragic accident turns out to be an assassination attempt. When Borchert also finds himself in the line of fire shortly afterwards, it is clear to him that he is on the right track with his research and that Brock cannot be the perpetrator. A tragic traffic accident increasingly becomes the focus of Borchert's investigation. In this case, a family was wiped out except for the father Moritz Bührer (Matthias Weidenhöfer). The former freight forwarder Jürg Dolmas (David Bennent), who sits in a wheelchair and is cared for by his sister Andrea (Anne Bennent), also comes into Bochert's focus.
