The new episode of our true crime podcast deals with an old murder case from the village of Garrel in the Cloppenburg district. What initially looks like an accident turns out to be a treacherous murder of farmer Otto, which leads to the last execution in the Cloppenburg district. In the new NWZonline podcast “The Search for U96 – the Last Secret”, journalist Julian Reusch talks about the search for the legendary submarine U96, which became known through the film and book “Das Boot”. In six episodes, Julian Reusch investigates a theory that says that the submarine can be found in Wilhelmshaven. The podcast also features insights from the real crew of U96, who share personal stories about their experiences. These never-before-released recordings promise a moving journey into the past.
