Previously, Google Maps used blue accents. As “9to5google” reports, a teal color (blue-green) has now replaced this shade of blue. An introductory screen in the update points out the “fresher colors.” New teal icons can also be seen on the list views. The text labels have changed from blue to black.
The teal color was introduced with Android version 24.49.06.x and iOS version 24.49.3. Users see the changes after an update. The color is also used on the carousels for directions and other buttons.
New colors on Google Maps: Rollout still ongoing
The adaptation is not yet widely available. This is obviously a server-side rollout. Google Maps still does not integrate the Dynamic Color feature on Android. However, users will be able to see the new colors after updating and restarting the app if necessary.
