After a Christmas party at Buckingham Palace, a 24-year-old palace employee completely freaked out in a London bar. The young woman is said to have thrown glasses and attacked staff. The police had to intervene and arrested the young woman.
The Christmas party for Buckingham Palace employees ended on Wednesday night with a police operation and the arrest of a 24-year-old palace employee. After an initially peaceful reception in the palace, the situation later escalated in a nearby bar, as the British tabloid “The Sun” reports.

According to the report, the incident occurred at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the All Bar One bar on Victoria Street, just a few minutes from the British royal residence. A group of around 50 palace employees had gathered there after an early evening Christmas party to round off the evening. As eyewitnesses report, a 24-year-old, who according to media reports is a domestic worker, suddenly lost control and freaked out.
The altercation culminated in a bar fight
“They started breaking glasses and insulting our staff so we had to call the police,” the newspaper quoted a bar employee as saying. “I have never seen anyone act like that during a night out. She was on a completely different level.” Even the bar’s security couldn’t calm the angry woman down. As “The Sun” further reports, a real bar fight is said to have developed after the incident. However, no further arrests are said to have taken place.
London's Metropolitan Police have now confirmed in a statement that a 24-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and public drunkenness. She spent the night in police custody and was released the next evening with a fine notice.
According to the BBC, Buckingham Palace has also responded to the incident. A spokesman said that although the incident occurred during an informal private meeting and not during the official palace Christmas party, the facts were still being “fully investigated.” “A strict disciplinary process will follow in relation to the employees involved,” the official announced.
