After the AMD and Intel-based Copilot+ PCs were added last week, there is a new update in the Dev channel today. Microsoft released KB 5048761 today. This increases the version number to Windows 11 24H2 26120.2702.
Since the optional updates are canceled this month due to the holidays, this is likely to be the last update this year. Then things will continue as usual in January 2025. Back to today's update. Switch As always, there is a difference between “on” and “off”.
We're starting to roll out a new Advanced Camera Options page. Simply navigate to a camera in Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Cameras and click the Edit button for advanced camera options. Two options are then offered here: camera for multiple applications and standard camera. A third option will follow later, which will provide different media types such as resolution and frame rate.
There is also news for the developers for the “passwordless future”. “We are releasing updates to the WebAuthn APIs to support a plug-in authentication model for passkeys.” Over the next few months, Windows customers will be able to choose a third-party provider as an additional choice alongside the native Windows key provider while the Windows Hello user experience is preserved.” You can read everything about it in the release notes
