In the ZDF series “Die Bossin” she plays the chief inspector Vera Lanz, who hunts criminals. In real life, however, Katharina Böhm experienced a nightmare.
Munich – Katharina Böhm (60) is known to many as Chief Inspector Vera Lanz from the ZDF crime series “Die Bossin”. But off camera she had to face a completely different challenge – a stalker. In an interview, the actress talks about this disturbing experience that she went through over a decade ago.
ZDF star Katharina Böhm pursued by stalker: “I did something very stupid”
The daughter of cult actor Karlheinz Böhm (†86, “Sissi”), who died in 2014, tells the magazine Radio clockthat the stalker wrote her countless letters and even placed objects in her garden. “That was very unpleasant,” remembers the 60-year-old, adding: “It was 16 or 17 years ago, but I still remembered how scary this situation was.”
In a moment of anger and frustration, Katharina Böhm made a mistake about which she says today: “I did something very stupid that you shouldn't have done.” She called the stalker, who had enclosed his business card in one of the many letters , stopped at his place of work and insulted him. “But that’s something I don’t advise anyone to do,” emphasizes the TV star.
“The Boss” star Katharina Böhm warns against contacting the stalker
Luckily, Katharina Böhm never heard from the stalker again after this incident. But they strongly warn against acting in the same way in similar situations. “In such cases: avoid contact and file a report,” advises the actress.
Interestingly, the topic of stalking, which “Dream Ship” star Collien Ulmen-Fernandes (43) also had to deal with, will also be dealt with in the coming season of “The Boss” – in the episode “True Crime,” which will air on June 24th. It will be broadcast on ZDF in January 2025. The new season of the series starts on January 3rd. Before that, on December 27th, the public broadcaster will show the first part of a crossover between “Beyond the Spree” and “The Boss”, including Katharina Böhm and Jürgen Vogel (56).
