The world went black for a young woman: she scratched her eyes out while high on drugs!
Anderson (USA) – For a young woman (20), the world went black: she scratched her eyes out while high on drugs!
As Daily Mail reports, South Carolina native Kaylee Muthart will never be able to see her again. After the terrible incident, she wears prosthetics instead of her eyes.
Kaylee was an outstanding student and was even inducted into the National Honor Society for her exceptional achievements.
However, at 17, she left school in the hopes of working more and saving money for college – a decision that would ultimately prove fatal.

Intoxicated, Kaylee Muthart tore her eyes out
Muthart was about to go to a rehab clinic, which her mother had persuaded her to go to.
But before that happened, she took a large dose of methamphetamine and hallucinated for hours.
In this state, she believed the right thing to do was to pluck out her eyes. She pressed her thumbs, index and middle fingers into each eye, grabbed the eyeballs, twisted and pulled until they popped out of their eye sockets.

Pastor discovered Kaylee Muthart screaming and prevented anything worse from happening
When a pastor found her, she was holding her eyeballs in her hands, which she had already crushed while they were still attached to her own head.
Kaylee was immediately taken to the hospital, where she struggled so violently that she had to be restrained and tied to the bed by seven people. They underwent emergency surgery to remove what was left of their eyes and prevent infection.
But despite the traumatic experience, she remains surprisingly positive and says she would rather be blind than a drug addict.
