S04 professional Amin Younes, who had to be replaced in Paderborn after suffering an injury, complained of problems at the start of the warm-up. Regarding Amin Younes, Kees van Wonderen explained to the media present at RUHR24 after the party in the mixed zone that it was a knee problem. “We have to wait until tomorrow to see what it looks like,” said the coach on Saturday afternoon (December 14th).
Schalke worries about Amin Younes: question marks behind deployment in Elversberg
In Paderborn, Amin Younes had to be substituted after around an hour after a duel. At the beginning of the week he missed training due to a cold, but returned to training before the game against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
It remains to be seen what the situation looks like for the 31-year-old, who has recently been on the rise. The party against Düsseldorf also showed that FC Schalke 04 can now react to failures like this. Christopher Antwi-Adjei would again be a starting eleven candidate for the party against SV Elversberg on December 20th (6:30 p.m.).

Younes replacement Christopher Antwi-Adjei with a good performance for Schalke 04
It was enough for Christopher Antwi-Adjei for 90 minutes, but he didn't get a grade of 2.5 from RUHR24 in the S04 individual review against Düsseldorf. He was substituted immediately after his assist in the 72nd minute. Kees van Wonderen explained in the mixed zone: “He hadn't played a game for a long time. We knew it could be a maximum of 65 to 70 minutes. That’s why we had already prepared it.”
