Dresden – Access in Löbtau! Yesterday, Thursday afternoon, detectives arrested a fraudster (53).
The man wanted to earn a large sum of money from a pensioner (74), as the Dresden police department announced.
The scam began with a shock call: alleged police officers told the 74-year-old that his daughter had caused an accident and that someone had been seriously injured.
The perpetrator then immediately increased the pressure. The senior should pay a deposit of 40,000 euros so that the daughter doesn't have to go to jail.

The person called agreed to the offer and provided his address for collection – but only to lure the other person into a trap. The older gentleman had already been involved in a similar fraud case a year ago. He therefore informed the real police officers, who immediately rushed to his apartment.
The 53-year-old, who was supposed to be a judge and wanted to receive the money, finally rang the doorbell. He was immediately arrested and taken away. The Pole now has to answer for fraud, among other things.
