Jujutsu Kaisen held its fourth popularity poll a few months ago, and fans are finally being treated to the full results this week in Weekly Shonen Jump. A few weeks ago, fans were given the top 3 in the popularity poll, but the rest of the positions were still kept secret. Of course, they would be revealed at some point, and fans just had to wait.
The full results of JJK's 4th popularity poll have finally been released in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, and it's safe to say that there are a few surprises in there. The people that fans wouldn't have expected to make it into the top 50 are pretty high up, while some of the other most popular characters don't even appear in the polls.
The three most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo, Yuji and Megumi take the top three places in the popularity poll
The three most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen have been pretty consistent throughout the entire time, from the first to the fourth popularity poll. Fans know for sure that the protagonist of the series, Yuji, will be among them. At the same time, Megumi, who fans know to be one of the most popular characters, has also always been there. Finally, Gojo, the strongest modern wizard in the series and also the face of the entire franchise, would always have made it to the top three, and this time he takes an even higher position. These three characters are in the top three and the positions are as follows:
#1 Gojo Satoru – 113392 votes
Not surprisingly, the guy who tops the 4th JJK popularity poll is none other than Gojo. He's been the face of the franchise for quite some time now, and whether in Japan or internationally, Gojo has always been at number one.
No, I would win! – Gojo Satoru
In fact, Gojo received quite a lot of votes and the difference between his position and number 2 in the popularity poll is absolutely astonishing. Regardless, it can be said that Gojo absolutely deserves the number 1 spot as he is by far the best character in this franchise.
#2 Yuji Itadori – 48131 votes
The series' protagonist, Yuji Itadori, ranks second in the popularity poll, showing that despite being less popular than Gojo, he is very popular among fans everywhere. Yuji received a total of 48,131 votes, which was pretty decent, but the gap between him and Gojo, who takes first place, is absolutely unbelievable.
Still, Yuji Itadori is included alongside the most popular characters, and that certainly shows that he is at least a decent protagonist.
#3 Megumi Fushiguro – 28,502 votes
Megumi Fushiguro falls to third place, which was a shock for many readers. Megumi used to always take first place in JJK popularity polls, but now he has fallen to third place. While it is a shock to fans to see him so low, the author has treated him in a very strange way in the last few arcs of JJK.
Megumi was essentially used as a tool for Sukuna to reveal his true self, and he has barely played a major role in the story since then. In fact, Megumi has been missing for over a year, and considering that, it's no surprise that he has sunk so low.
Who will rank 4th to 10th in JJK's 4th popularity poll?
The top 3 in JJK's popularity poll certainly consists of some of the most interesting characters in the franchise, but there are also other individuals that were previously unknown to fans. The characters come with the number of votes they received, as fans have now finally been informed, and they are certainly very interesting, to say the least.
#4 Suguru Geto – 19156 votes
In issue four, fans can see Suguru Geto, who has always been a very popular character. Although Geto hasn't been involved in the story for quite some time, his role in the Hidden Inventory Arc is enough to earn him such a high position among fans.
Geto will always be loved, even though he is, by and large, a villain.
#5 Naoya Zenin – 11731
Naoya is a character whose popularity cannot really be explained. He is barely a character in the series and there are no positive qualities about this person. He is disliked by fans all over the world, except apparently those who live in Japan. Naoya has a lot of fans for unknown reasons and that is certainly odd because he hardly deserves the votes that have been spent on him. Despite this, he ranks fifth in the popularity poll.
#6 Choso-6247
Choso ranks sixth in the popularity poll this time around, and he definitely deserves it. Considering the role he has played in Yuji Itadori's life and the sacrifice he has made for him recently, it's no surprise to fans that he ranks sixth.
#7 Yuta Okkotsu – 5991
Yuta Okkotsu has always been an incredibly important character in the series, and Gege has often even treated him like a secondary main character.
Yuta is loved by many and at the same time, the fact that he put in a solid performance at Shinjuku Showdown means that he certainly deserves seventh place.
#8 Nanami-4162
Kento Nanami is another character who cemented his position in the story long ago. Nanami was popular with fans even though he played his role in the story long ago. Nanami died in the Shibuya arc and has not played a role in the story since then.
#9 Sukun – 4077
Sukuna, the main villain of the entire series, is ranked 9th on the list.
He alone is the honored one! – The narrator
This is the first time Sukuna has made it into the top 10 in the popularity polls, and considering he really did quite a bit in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, there's no doubt that he deserves this spot.
#10 Toji Fushiguro – 3218
Finally, 10th place goes to none other than Toji Fushiguro, who fans know as an incredibly exciting villain. Toji cemented his position as a fan favorite during the Hidden Inventory Arc, where he stood in the way of Gojo Satoru. Of course, he died there, but was later revived in the Shibuya Incident Arc, where he once again delighted fans. Although Toji only had a brief role in JJKhis character has been immortalized and fans will always love him.
