Man dead after double shooting in Logan: police

Philadelphia police are investigating after a fatal double shooting reportedly occurred in Logan on Monday evening.

The shooting occurred around 8:12 p.m. near the 4700 block of North 11th Street.

According to police, a 41-year-old man was shot multiple times throughout his body and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene at 8:11 p.m.

They say another victim, an unidentified “John Doe,” was taken to Einstein Hospital by private vehicle after being shot once in the back.

No weapons were found at the crime scene and no arrests were made.

The entire incident was recorded by real-time cameras.

According to police, a two-door gray vehicle was traveling south on 11th Street when a male suspect exited the vehicle and fired several shots.

He then fled with the vehicle and drove north on 11th Street toward Louden Street.

To obtain further information, witness statements and recordings from private surveillance cameras are evaluated.
