The Nice Guys – Nice was yesterday! on the TV show

Los Angeles, 1977: Two private detectives investigate the case of a murdered porn actress – crime fun with a star cast.

Neither are exactly luminaries of their craft: private detectives Holland March and Jackson Healey. March earns his money by selling his services to disaffected grandmas who miss their husband, but at the same time have forgotten that he passed away years before. Healey, on the other hand, is not a man of many words; when he speaks, it is with his fist or with a weapon.

A misunderstanding ultimately brings the two men together: Amelia (Margaret Qualley), the woman who is supposed to track down March, hires Healey to scare off her alleged stalker. March is lucky that Healey leaves his brass knuckles in the office. This saves him the need for a plastic surgeon. Instead, only the broken arm needs to be cast in the emergency room. Luckily for both of them: March doesn't hold grudges.

Despite the pain that Healey caused him when he broke his arm, the two snoopers work hand in hand and discover that there is no simple crime behind the murder of a porn actress, but a larger conspiracy…

Shane Black, director and writer of The Nice Guys, is the man who brought humor to the action genre. Classics like “Lethal Weapon” come from him. Lively dialogues also adorn this successful gangster comedy with a star cast. This is where your laughing muscles are finally strained.
