After being hit in the head by a lighter, Bochum goalkeeper Patrick Drewes had to go to hospital. Now it's clear: he could already go home.

After Berlin threw a lighter, Bochum goalkeeper Patrick Drewes was able to leave the hospital. A spokesman for the Bundesliga soccer club told the German Press Agency that a concussion test on the 31-year-old was normal. The keeper suffered from nausea, headaches and malaise.

After the tests, Drewes was able to travel from the capital back to the Ruhr area with the club's doctor. The goalkeeper was hit in the head by a lighter from the Berlin block in stoppage time in the game against 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday.

He couldn't continue playing. After a long interruption, the Bochum team continued the game under protest and now want to lodge an objection. Drewes sat out training on Sunday. The people of Bochum have the day off on Monday. Then we look further, said the spokesman.

The alleged perpetrator is being investigated for grievous bodily harm, as the Berlin police announced upon request. The 27-year-old was located by security after the incident at the An der Alten Försterei stadium and handed over to the police. The man was arrested. A blood test was also carried out on him.
