A woman has been killed and two men injured in a shooting in northwest London.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of a shooting at around 9:15pm GMT on Saturday in Harlesden, where they found the woman, believed to be in her 40s. She died at the scene of the accident.

One of the two men, both in their 30s, is said to be in critical condition. The other man's injuries are not life-threatening.

A resident, who did not want to be named, said he heard five shots in a row on Saturday evening. No arrests have been made and a murder investigation is ongoing.

A man who lives near the scene told the PA news agency: “I was in church and someone came in and said there had been a shooting.”

“I looked outside and it was chaos.”
