Bad Goisern
It was thanks to a nurse's complaint that police officers discovered a veritable arsenal of weapons on Thursday. The woman reported to police that the person she worked for had also threatened to kill her and kept firearms unlocked in the house.
The 38-year-old reported this to the Bad Goisern police station. During a voluntary inspection of the 54-year-old's house in the Gmunden district, the officers actually found a large number of firearms.
26 long guns, machine guns and explosives
Among other things, 26 long guns, a machine gun and five antique handguns were discovered. The man also hoarded twelve sticks of gelatin donarit, several magazines, a grenade, two tank cartridges and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
According to the police, whether and in what form the possession was legal is currently the subject of investigations. All items were confiscated and the tank cartridges were detonated on behalf of the Wels public prosecutor's office. The man was reported and confessed to the dangerous threat.
