Specialist insurer Hiscox has launched all-risk insurance for valuable possessions and collections. The Jewelry and Collections by Hiscox tariff consists of two insurance modules that can be taken out independently of each other: Jewelry & Watches and Art & Collections.
In addition to “conventional” valuables such as jewelry, wristwatches, rings, paintings or photographic art, other valuable objects and collections of all kinds can also be insured, such as designer bags, wine or spirits collections, sneakers, even rare surprise egg figurines or historical toys.
Worldwide coverage
The police can be taken out independently of existing household contents insurance and, as all-risk insurance, covers all risks and types of damage that are not expressly excluded, according to the insurer. New purchases automatically increase in value by up to 30% of the current insured sum with insurance.
The tariff is valid worldwide and transport is also insured. The objects are protected regardless of whether they are at home, on loan at an exhibition or as a sale item in an auction house. There are no minimum insurance amounts. For values up to 100,000 euros, an additional upgrade for storing valuables in the safe can be booked.
Hiscox also creates individual offers upon request. Brokers can create and complete the policy online. The insurer also points out possible combination solutions with household contents and building cover through Haus & Kunst from Hiscox. (js)
