A gray Porsche hits a Toyota so hard that a child dies inside. The Porsche driver fled the scene of the accident – according to the police, he had stolen the car.

A two-year-old boy has died in a serious traffic accident in the English town of Smethwick, near Birmingham, with a population of 56,000. According to police, the child was sitting in a Toyota that was rammed by a Porsche Cayenne around 11 p.m. on Saturday evening.

In addition to the boy, four adults in the Toyota were injured. According to officials, a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man are in serious condition, and another 30-year-old and a 30-year-old woman are currently stable, it said.

The person who caused the accident in the Porsche SUV fled. An inspection of the car revealed that the car had been stolen in early December.

Now the police are looking for the Porsche driver. An intensive search for the car is underway. A police spokesman said: “I would like to urge the driver to do the right thing and talk to us.” The suspect “made the wrong decision” when he fled and he should now correct it.

The police are also looking for other witnesses. Anyone who recorded footage of the suspicious car with a dashcam installed in their car should contact the officers. Police are also reviewing and analyzing surveillance camera footage from the area.

“At this extremely difficult time, our thoughts are with the little boy’s family,” the police spokesman continued. The BBC considers the road on which the accident occurred to be a typical speeding route.
