Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser on “Yellowstone”

Ahead of the hit Paramount Network series' conclusion on Sunday, December 15, Reilly took to social media to reflect on her character's journey.
“Whatever the future holds, this is the end of the show we’ve been doing for the last seven years,” Reilly, 47, wrote via Instagram. “Words cannot express how I feel about the people I have had the opportunity to work with and create over the seasons. I made real friends for life. The support of the crew and the trust and commitment of the cast. The words I was allowed to say and the woman I was allowed to inhabit. It changed me. It enlightened me. It challenged me in every way and I will forever be grateful for it.”
Reilly sent a message to the creator Taylor Sheridan for giving her “a chance,” adding, “[He] continued writing [Beth] In a way, I felt like I was on fire as an actor. Thanks Taylor. Thank you to the audience we made it for and who accompanied us on this journey. We really wanted to make something special for you all…Enjoy tonight, grab your tissues and your 🥃✌️.”

Fans quickly took to the comments section to weigh in on what they thought would happen. Some specifically asked for Reilly's opinion on whether Beth would be responsible for the death of brother Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) Death and their fight for the family farm.
When answering questions before the broadcast, Reilly didn't reveal anything about how Beth – with husband Rips (Cole Hauser) Help – would be the one to kill Jamie, but she went into more detail about her character development.

Of utmost importance“She has definitely changed. In the early seasons [the farm] was a place with too many bad memories. The place haunted her,” she recalls. “She was loyal to her father because she loved him so much, but she also felt great responsibility and guilt over the death of her mother, his wife.”
Reilly continued, “It almost became her life's purpose to make it up to him, to do this for him.” She became his most loyal soldier. As the seasons progressed, she was seen falling in love with it again and again. She did it for him. For the country. And for a part of her soul.”

Spectators – including Us — tuned in to see Beth's story since the series premiered in 2018. Before the series came to an end, reports began circulating about a spin-off focused on Beth and Cole. (On Sunday, Reilly responded “true” to a fan who asked if the rumors were actually true.)
“I loved this season. There were some really different areas to explore, so I don’t get hung up on them,” Reilly said city and country in November about plans to reprise the role. “I’m happy to put her back in her padlocked box.”
However, Reilly didn't rule out a return, saying, “I'm definitely interested in Beth and who she is after some things happened,” she said. “Who is she in peace? As an actor, you think, “Ooh, let me say this.” Wouldn’t it be fun to watch Beth in therapy?”
The actress expressed her gratitude for getting the chance to play a complicated woman on screen.
“I love preparing to play her because Beth has an adrenaline rush and is very stimulating. But it's also incredibly gnarly. I have to hide everything about myself in order to attract some of it. I love her but I can’t live with her,” she continued. “It’s not just about playing strong, capable women. That misses the point. Male characters can be chaotic, but they can still be heroic. Full spectrum. And I think there is courage in facing the shadows. How can you be an honest person if you don’t own some of your darkness?”
