Blue Bloods: Series Finale Ends With Death and Gunfights

The final episode confronted the Reagan family with several dramatic events. A merger between two gangs causes fear and terror in the city. The gangs demand the release of some imprisoned members and attack several police officers and even the mayor.

Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan (Vanessa Ray) and her partner Luis Badillo (Ian Quinlan) got into a shootout during an investigation, in which Badillo was first wounded and then died in the hospital. At the same time, Mayor Peter Chase (Dylan Walsh) was injured in a drive-by shooting, prompting Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) to take control of the city.

Despite these challenges, there were also moments of personal happiness. Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) reconciled with her ex-husband Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann) and the two decided to get married again. Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) received advice from his grandfather to find someone to share his life with, which led him to invite his ministry partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) to dinner.

Blue Bloods Finale: One Last Family Reunion

As in every episode, the Reagan family gathered at the end for the traditional Sunday dinner. In this final scene, Eddie and Jamie (Will Estes) announced that they were expecting a child, which brought joy to the table. So he said: “You know, we have a lot to be grateful for.” And as I look around this table, I have to say I couldn’t be prouder and more grateful.”
