Unknown animal protection activists daubed and damaged the facade of a butcher shop on Monday night. They also apparently sprayed butyric acid into the sales area. This is the second incident there this year.

“Peaceful X-Mas without terror on animals.” Unknown people smeared this slogan on the facade of a butcher shop on Kornbergstrasse in the west of Stuttgart on Monday night. In addition, on a display case whose window has been broken, a circle with the three letters “A”, “L” and F” can be seen, the opening for the “Animal Liberation Front” – in German “Tierbefreiungsfront”. But that's not all: the perpetrators are also said to have sprayed a liquid, presumably butyric acid, into the sales area between midnight and 5:15 a.m. According to police, it is not yet clear how much property damage there is and no one was injured. Witnesses are asked to contact the criminal police on 07 11 / 89 90 – 57 78.
This is not the first time the butcher shop has been targeted by animal rights activists. At the beginning of May, the abbreviation “ALF” was smeared in yellow on the facade, the slogan “Fleisch ist Mord” was sprayed on the sidewalk and the word “Murder” was sprayed twice on the house wall. Back then, too, the perpetrators sprayed a foul-smelling liquid into the butcher shop. It is also said to have been butyric acid, which the fire brigade removed with universal binders. The sales area was also ventilated with fans. The graffiti had to be removed; the police at the time estimated that the damage would amount to tens of thousands of euros.
