The Spanish crime series “1992” has started on Netflix: A serial killer with connections to the Expo 1992 in Seville leaves behind mysterious traces.

This Friday, December 13th, the 1992 Spanish series celebrates its premiere on the streaming service Netflix. There is also an Italian political thriller series with the same name (see 1992 (IT).

This is what the Spanish Netflix series “1992” is about

In this crime series directed by Álex de la Iglesia and written by Jorge Guerricaechevarría, an angry serial killer with mysterious connections to the 1992 Expo in Seville burns his victim to death. Next to the corpses you can only find a Curro doll, which is the mascot of the Expo.

The production's ensemble cast includes Fernando Valdivielso (“Fanatic”), Marian Álvarez (“The Wound,” “The Unit”), Paz Vega (“Sex and Lucía”) and Carlos Santos (“The Man with a Thousand Faces”).
