UConn suffered its first loss of the season against Notre Dame last week and will look to bounce back against Iowa State.
The game will take place as part of the Hall of Fame Women's Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. Although technically a neutral site, UConn remains in its home state and has a 41-1 all-time record at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Huskies are 2-1 all-time against Iowa State, having last played the Cyclones in 2010. Paige Bueckers and Sarah Strong are the two focal points for UConn, but the team has plenty of options including Kaitlyn Chen, Jana El Alfy and Ashlynn Shade. Azzi Fudd is another important player who is out due to injury.
Audi Crooks is the Cyclones' starter. The 6-3 sophomore had a great season as a freshman and is now averaging 20.8 points and 8.5 rebounds this year. Addy Brown, who is averaging 14 points and 7.0 rebounds, will also be a threat to UConn's interior defense at 6-2.
Strong, El Alfy and Ice Brady will have a challenge ahead of them in this duel.
