Berlin: Knife attack in refugee accommodation – man ends up in hospital

Berlin – A 25-year-old man seriously injured an acquaintance with a knife in a refugee home in Berlin-Karow late on Monday afternoon.

There is no danger to life, the police announced today, Tuesday. The 26-year-old suffered a stab wound to his torso.

According to the officers' initial findings, the injured party went to the office in the container accommodation for refugees on Siverstorpstrasse around 3:40 p.m. I asked for help there.

The 26-year-old stated that an acquaintance came to him and injured him with a knife.

Employees looked after the victim on site. The 26-year-old was then taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery and is currently being treated as an inpatient.

The police arrested the suspect. He was then taken to a specialist commissariat. Further investigations are ongoing.
