Late on Saturday evening, several shots were fired in Hamburg-Billstedt. Two people were injured.
Hamburg – Late Saturday evening are in Hamburg-Billstedt fired several shots. One man died and another was injured. Witnesses are now being sought.
The victims were two men aged 20 and 21, as a police spokesman confirmed that night.
The 20-year-old was hit in the leg several times and had to be resuscitated on site. He died from his injuries a short time later in hospital. The 21-year-old was also shot, but not critically injured.
The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. directly at a playground on Kandinskyallee and near the Mümmelmannsberg subway station. Witnesses first heard several shots and then saw two people fleeing. They immediately called the police. A little later, the alerted emergency services found the injured men in a nearby courtyard.

The police cordoned off a large area of the crime scene during the night. The forensics team arrived. A sniffer dog was also used.
Witnesses to the incident and family members were looked after on site by the crisis intervention team of the German Red Cross (DRK). The homicide squad is supporting further investigations.

The two unknown fugitives who may have been involved in the shooting were bypassed. However, on Sunday morning, the police said in a statement that the search had been unsuccessful.
People who also made suspicious observations near the Mümmelmannsberg subway station yesterday evening or who can provide information about the possible perpetrators are now urgently asked to come forward.
