On the night of Friday to Saturday there was a serious knife attack in Nalbach-Piesbach. One man was so badly injured in the upper body that he had to undergo surgery. However, according to initial findings, there is no acute danger to life.
This Saturday, police divers were on duty to find the suspected murder weapon. This is believed to be in a stream in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene.
Police confirmed that the suspect was the son of the injured man. The background to the crime is currently unclear. The public prosecutor's office is now investigating suspicion of attempted murder and suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The suspected son was arrested and is now in custody. Further investigations are underway to clarify the exact circumstances of the crime and determine possible motives.
