After a twelve-year-old was shot in Dietingen in Baden-Württemberg, the public prosecutor's office is investigating an attempted homicide. The police in Konstanz said on request that it was an act of violence.

Young person under suspicion

A young person is under strong suspicion of attempted murder. He was brought before a judge this Tuesday and is now in custody, as the police in Konstanz and the public prosecutor's office in Rottweil announced.

According to information from the German Press Agency, a friend of the twelve-year-old is said to have fired the shot. He is said to be 14 years old. The police and public prosecutor neither wanted to deny nor confirm this. The incident occurred in a residential building in Dietingen.

Investigations against legal representatives of the suspect

The injured boy was taken to a clinic in Stuttgart in a rescue helicopter. The investigators explained that investigations had been initiated against the legal representatives of the accused young person for weapons law violations and allegations of negligent bodily harm.
