Once again there was great unrest in the summer, and then there was another mediocre start to the season, plus an exit from the state cup against rivals Unterhaching. Troubled times also at Giesing's heights – especially because of the blatant home weakness (two wins from seven games). Luckily, Argirios Giannikis' team will be away on Saturday: the Lions will face Erzgebirge Aue at 2 p.m.

Strong away lions
TSV 1860 collected 17 of its 24 points away from home. Even against supposed promotion aspirants like Sandhausen (3:0) or Bielefeld (1:0), the Lions celebrated convincing victories. Nevertheless, the Sixers suffered their worst defeat of the season in Cottbus (1:5). As a result, they have never lost in the third division. The last meeting in March ended goalless, a year earlier the Lions won 3-1.
Aue with a historical tailwind
With Erzgebirge Aue, the Giannikis team expects a typical third division opponent: a successful past, unpredictable performances and many goals on both sides. The ninth-placed team from Saxony spectacularly defeated Sandhausen 6-4 last weekend – more goals have never been scored in a third division game. Particular attention is paid to ex-Lion Marcel Bär in the center of the attack. The 32-year-old has already collected 13 scorer points and is involved in almost half of all Auer goals.
Fine and indoor ban: 1860 boss banned
Munich managing director Christian Werner will not be on the bench in Aue. The official was unsportsmanlike towards the behavior of the referee team during last weekend's 4-0 defeat against Verl, as the DFB announced on Tuesday. Werner was then shown a red card and was banned from playing for one game and fined 1,000 euros.
