1. Beauty trend 2024: Glass Skin
What was already totally hyped about ten years ago experienced a real revival in 2024: “Glass Skin” and Korean Skincare were the skin care trends of the year. It feels like a little déjà vu, but the searches on Google, TikTok and Instagram don't delete. More than 500,000 videos have now been posted on TikTok under the hashtag #glassskin alone, with views running into the double-digit billions – and the trend is rising. The overarching goal of all videos: flawless, radiant skin without pores, pimples and pigments – fast as glass.
The trend, of course, comes from Asia, where porcelain skin is known to be THE ideal of beauty. How to get the trendy “Glass Skin”? By drinking lots of water, cleansing your face properly and taking good care of it. According to Korean Skincare, toner is key in your skincare routine. Somewhere between cleansing and care, it prepares the skin for the face cream and ensures that it is absorbed into the skin more quickly – thereby keeping it moisturized throughout the night. By the way, a last-minute hack for that extra glow is Vaseline. After cleaning, it creates a glassy finish.

2. Beauty trend 2024: Soap nails
What great nail trends have we witnessed this year? From pistachio nails to 3D nail art to a wide variety of French ways, whether as long stiletto nails, short almond nails or medium coffin nails – in 2024 we have let off steam in a wide variety of styles and shapes. One nail trend has remained throughout the year – and it is as fresh as any other: “Soap Nails”.
The “Soap Nails”, as the name suggests, imitate the effect of sparkling clean nails – with a subtle shine and slightly milky undertones. Just like soap! That's why this is the perfect manicure trend for all “clean girls” who love minimalist style. 3. Beauty trend 2024: hair oiling
In addition to skincare, a second care trend has developed in 2024: Scalp Care. Rarely are our scalps in the spotlight as much as this year. And yes, apparently scalp care had to become a trend before people could take care of the skin underneath their hair. Rosemary oil in particular is touted on TikTok, Instagram and Co. as a miracle cure for full, long, shiny hair. And let's be honest: that's what we all want. So it's no wonder that hair growth using hair oiling was very popular in 2024.
