The worry and desperation – it keeps growing. In the second part of the “Zurich crime thriller” “Borchert and the City in Fear”, Thomas Borchert (played by Christian Kohlund) is looking for the so-called “Zurich Killer”. However, when Dominique Kuster (played by Ina Paule Klink) falls under a delivery truck in front of him, the case takes another explosive turn.
We don't want to reveal much more at this point. Maybe there are still people who haven't seen the new “Zurich crime thriller” with Christian Kohlund as Thomas Borchert. However, there may not be many. The second part of “City in Fear” became a real street sweeper.
Thomas Borchert in ratings luck
According to the industry magazine “DWDL”, 5.5 million people tuned in to the crime thriller on Thursday evening. This gave Thomas Borchert and ARD not only a 22.6 percent market share at prime time, but also the day's victory among the overall audience. Great news that shows once again: German TV viewers simply love crime shows.
This was also evident among the young viewers between 14 and 49 years old. A number of spectators also wanted to see the football thriller Eintracht Frankfurt against Olympique Lyon. 0.73 million started the Euroleague match, which Eintracht lost 3-2. This means that King Football narrowly missed out on winning the day among the young audience. ARD secured this with 0.75 million viewers.
Also very good: “The Mountain Rescuers” on ZDF. 4.26 million of the total audience tuned in, a rate of 17.5 percent. Among young viewers, the mountain rescuers achieved 0.45 million viewers and a market share of ten percent. Bitter news for ProSieben, however: “The Big Celebrity Blessings” made it into the top 25 neither among the overall audience nor among young viewers.
