Breast cancer center has received certificate again
In the field of gynecology, Stralsund once received its first recognition as a cancer center – namely for the treatment of breast cancer. “The Stralsund Breast Center has stood for high quality treatment for 20 years now. “It is one of the most experienced centers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania,” says clinic managing director Franzel Simon.
The importance of the clinic is based on history
The Helios Hanseatic Hospital has a total of 1,000 beds in the Sund and West hospitals. This is rather unusual for a city with 60,000 inhabitants. Cities with this population in other federal states usually have small clinics with 200 beds. Stralsund offers almost all disciplines – except for neurosurgery. The great importance of the Stralsund Clinic also has historical roots.
