The Rhenish derby between double winners Bayer Leverkusen and second division team 1. FC Köln in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup will be broadcast live on February 5th ARD transmitted. The German Football Association announced this after coordination with the TV partners on Wednesday. The start of the power also takes place in the ARD The duel between VfB Stuttgart and FC Augsburg on February 4th. Both games start at 8.45 p.m. and will also be shown on Sky.
As in the previous season, the four parties will be played on four different dates. After a three-week break, Arminia Bielefeld is the last remaining third division team to welcome Bundesliga club Werder Bremen (February 25th/8:45 p.m./ZDF and Sky). One day later, RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg complete the round of the last eight teams (8:45 p.m./Sky ).
The semi-finals will follow at the beginning of April, and the final will take place on May 24th in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. As in the previous year, numerous well-known Bundesliga teams were eliminated before the quarter-finals, including record winners Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
