On Tuesday, the control of a conspicuous driver in Pétange got so out of hand that the officers were ultimately forced to use their pepper spray. This emerges from a police report, which goes on to say that the “presumably drunk” man reacted aggressively to the officers who arrived and refused to show his papers.
According to the Grand-Ducale Police, the man also refused an alcohol and drug test. Instead, he is said to have tried to move away from the scene, “which is why he had to be immobilized.” He became increasingly aggressive and defended himself to such an extent that the officers had to use pepper spray,” the police continued.
The man continued to be uncooperative during the transport to the office. A report was drawn up at the station for insulting officials and rebelling against police officers and a driving ban was issued.
