During checks in the center of Herznach, the police stopped 189 drivers who were traveling at excessive speeds.
From December 11th to 16th, the Oberes Fricktal police carried out speed checks in the inner-city area of Herznach. Around 47,000 vehicles passed the checkpoint during this period. 189 vehicle drivers were traveling too fast. According to the Oberes Fricktal police, this corresponds to a pleasingly low proportion of just 0.5 percent. The highest speed measured was 76 kilometers per hour, with a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas. The driver of the vehicle will be reported to the responsible public prosecutor's office in Rheinfelden-Laufenburg. In addition, he must expect an ID card revocation procedure by the responsible road traffic office.
