The German artist Leon Löwentraut can be seen for the first time in Ötztal with his exhibition “Bright Diamonds”. From December 23rd, art lovers can experience his expressive-abstract works in the Gurgl Carat in Obergurgl. The 26-year-old, who is represented in galleries around the world, not only impresses on the art stage, but also in the digital space: with over 1.1 million followers on Instagram, he has a huge fan base. The opening takes place in the presence of the artist.
The Gurgl Carat in Obergurgl presents another cultural highlight with the “Bright Diamonds” exhibition. The works of Leon Löwentraut, one of the most exciting artists of his generation, fit perfectly into the philosophy of Gurgl as the “Diamond of the Alps”. Like the peaks of the Ötztal Alps, Löwentraut's powerful, colorful paintings captivate the viewer. The title of the exhibition reflects not only the quality of the works, but also the extraordinary atmosphere that the Gurgl Carat offers with its modern architecture and alpine flair.
An artist of the new generation
Leon Löwentraut, born in 1998, is one of the up-and-coming faces of the international art scene. The “Bright Diamonds” exhibition in the Gurgl Carat can be seen from December 23, 2024 to January 22, 2025 in the Gurgl Carat. The opening will take place on December 23rd at 6 p.m. with free admission. The “Meet the Artist” dinner afterwards offers an exclusive chance to get to know the fascinating creative artist better with limited places.
Gurgl Carat – Europe’s highest congress center
